Explore the paper dungeons on consoles!
Are you waiting for the newest generation of consoles? We too! But we are not bidding farewell to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One yet. You’ll be happy to hear that now you can enter the paper dungeons on these platforms (aaand Nintendo Switch!) as well. The truth is this happened some time ago, we just never got around to writing a proper post on our blog about it.
In order to bring the game to consoles without compromising our work on future games, we teamed up with 505 Games, game publisher of the year 2019, and Sonka, a small friendly company that specializes in doing porting magic and who did all the ports. The Xbox and PlayStation versions turned out great! It’s as if you played on a PC – you can explore the paper dungeons and loot chests from the safety of your couch. The game and the controller support have been tweaked and optimized across all platforms so that playing with a gamepad is just as easy as using a mouse and keyboard.
And don’t you worry about becoming a couch potato, because now you can as well slay skeletons and demons on the go! Last but not least, you can also purchase Book of Demons in the Nintendo eShop for Switch. We are particularly excited about this port since it will benefit greatly from our Flexiscope system, which was already present on all other platforms. The Flexiscope system learns your playstyle and can create dungeons that fit your schedule but also offer well balanced and complete adventures. No more exiting the game mid-combat. A quick game during the coffee break or a long adventure on a train? You decide!
Tell your wife, tell your kids and their friends, and spread the news that Book of Demons Console Edition is out!
And as always,
Stay safe in the paper dungeons (and join us on Discord)!
